Reading the pdf-document from http://paizo.com/download/pathfinder/PZO1110BE-PrestigeEnhancement.zip I detected that the letter A was sometimes missing thus the "ARCANE ARCHER" becoming the " RC NE  RCHER". Acroread on the other side has no problems.

Using Okular from KDE 4.2 Beta 1

Works here, can you write here your poppler and freetype versions?

Will be fixed in next freetype release.
