Description Stefan Frings 2008-09-22 17:43:05 UTC
Version: Unbekannt (using 3.5.9, Debian Package 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-6 (lenny/sid))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.24.7

If I copy a MP3 file from an Audio CD to my home directory using konqueror, the result is a file full of noise - not the excepted music.

Changing any of the MP3 encoding options (stereo mode, bitrate, cbr or vbr) does not fix the problem.

Ogg and wav encoding works fine.

I like to add that this worked fine in the past. May latest distibution upgrade last week introduced the problem. I have the same problem on 3 different computers.

I've got this problem in OpenSuse 11.0 with KDE 3.5.10 too. What is the version of "lame" installed on your system?
