Description Diederik van der Boor 2008-06-29 13:15:13 UTC
Version: onbekend (using 4.00.83 (KDE 4.0.83 (KDE 4.1 Beta2) "release 4.2", KDE:KDE4:UNSTABLE:Desktop / openSUSE_10.3)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22.17-0.1-default

When I manage to hide the menu bar magically (learned it's Ctrl+M), I often found myself fighting with this to get it restored.

How about displaying a "show menubar" / "hide menubar" option in the context menu of the toolbars as well? That way it's at least discoverable using the mouse.

sorry, should have been marked as WISH.

Testing with 4.9.1:
What application are we talking about ?
In konqueror you have the show/hide menubar action in the context menu.
Dolphin shows an additional icon in the toolbar for all menus, including the above action.
