This has changed slightly in 4.0.98: - In Konqueror, the toolbars stay locked. However, with each start of the program, the address bar grows a bit to the left, and the buttons become inaccessible one by one. - No change in Kontact. This bug is a duplicated of bug 163772 This has changed slightly in 4.1.1: - In Konqueror, the toolbars stay locked. However, after restarting the program, the previously hidden HTML toolbar appears. - No change in Kontact. Can anyone still reproduce this bug again with KDE 4.2beta1 or 4.2svn? Thanks :) (In reply to comment #4) > Can anyone still reproduce this bug again with KDE 4.2beta1 or 4.2svn? Toolbars work as expected in Konqueror as with unofficial Debian packages 4:4.1.86+svn902586-0r1. Kontact is still broken as described above (lock toolbars in KMail component -> double click to open mail in new window -> toolbars in main window become unlocked, while tick in context menu remains). Thanks for fixing Konqueror! Any thoughts on making locked toolbars the default? @Georg: please, can you post a new bug report for the Kontact bug ? I think the main bug (in kdelibs) was fixed for current 4.2 builds (as a lot of toolbar related bug seems to be fixed). However, Kontact manages its components in a different ways because it embeds them. I'm marking this as fixed as I can no longer reproduce the original bug. *** Bug 166815 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** @Georg: before posting a new report, can you take a look at http://techbase.kde.org/Contribute/Bugsquad/Bug_Triage_of_Common_Issues_in_kdelibs#Toolbars_errors_.28states_not_saved.2F_icon_size_and_position_changes.29_in_KDE_4.0.x.2F4.1.x and try to find a related bug for the Kontact issue. Thanks :) (In reply to comment #6) > @Georg: please, can you post a new bug report for the Kontact bug ? I opened a new bug for KMail at http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=179429. Thanks for working on this, 4.2 looks awesome! |
