What kind of text are you pasting? If it contains special characters, they may affect the shell (^D for exit, etc.) as far as I know, plain text like function names to paste into a gdb session to set a breakpoint. ^D should only cause an exit if it's the first character though, and there's always been other text in my pastes. Hi Will, Does this still happen with a nested shell (ie. several shell instances running inside another)? Hi Will, Any luck on reproducing this reliably yet? Closing as REMIND per comment #4 No luck yet, but it only happened to me once in the last couple of weeks. I figured out how to reproduce it. middle mouse button on a tab closes that tab without any warning, unless there is obviously a program running in that tab. I was obviously MMB-pasting and missing the tab contents (I have a Thinkpad X60 which only has a trackpoint, which gives me a -3 penalty to DEX) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 170871 *** |
