Version:           4.00.80 (KDE 4.0.80 >= 20080104) (using 4.00.80 (KDE 4.0.80 >= 20080104), compiled sources)

OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-g9b73e76f

If I use right mouse click to select menu on the desktop, or to edit panel items, after doing this, I get a selection box appear that follows the mouse around and cannot be removed until a left mouse click is done.

After doing this, on the desktop the 'box' remains, on the panel it removes the box.

Showing desktop and panel selection boxes

Here, you can see the selection boxes on the desktop - this is always there
unless I 'select' over it again with left mouse click box.

The panel one will always be active (i.e. every time the mouse pointer goes to
the panel, the selection box will stick to the mouse and resize as I move).
