Description Olivier Vitrat 2007-05-04 19:52:41 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Debian stable Packages

Reported at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=405053

When I try to create a new subfolder on IMAP, I get the following error:

Error while creating a folder.
Could Not Create Folder
An attempt to create the requested folder failed.
Details of the request:
URL: (unknown)
Date and time: December 30, 2006 11:11 am
Additional information:
imap://chris@mail.northfolk.ca:143/INBOX/test//;INFO=ASKUSER
Possible causes:
Your access permissions may be inadequate to perform the requested
operation on this resource.
The location where the folder was to be created may not exist.
A protocol error or incompatibility may have occurred.
Possible solutions:
Retry the request.
Check your access permissions on this resource.

Putting the additional info URI into konqueror does not provide any
information. I am using Courier as the IMAP server and can create new
subfolders using Thunderbird and Squirrelmail.

This is also a known problem with Kubuntu
