Description Danny Hartley 2007-04-24 23:43:35 UTC
Version: 3.5.5 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Debian stable Packages
OS: Linux

When using Konqueror in non-icon file browsing mode with the background configured to use a tiled picture, selecting a file or directory (any button) will cause tiling corruption of the background.

The picture is itself is not affected, it just looks as if the picture is truncated on the vertical axis to about the height of the font (could be related?) and then that is used to tile the background. I always use Text View. This and other line based information modes are affected. Icon only modes appear to be unaffected. Only occurs for the lines with files - blank areas of the window unaffected.

Also right clicking on the background within the browsing window but not on a file can also do this. Switching away to another desktop and back again will reset the background as does refresh (F5). I normally use the canvas image but appears to be exhibit the same behaviour for other images.

This did not happen on KDE 3.3.2
