I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean. What sort of links are you talking about? Hyperlinks? Can you provide a test page that shows the problem? Ooo actually it appears to be a bit more specific than I previously said, and it was with smb:// not file:// links. I'll investigate further. Test case: http://www.srcf.ucam.org/~tdh29/test.html Just click on the link. Weirdness ensues. Note, it doesn't do this if you copy the file to your computer, because the security dialog doesn't appear. Probably related to bug 140778 This is probably related: Go to http://www.newhavenindependent.org/archives/2007/01/your_antiterror_1.php And middle click on the second '_here_ and _here_' link. The cursor changes into a cross (the 'can't drop here' icon) and you can't click anywhere on the entire desktop! Press control lots and eventually konqueror segfaults. Or you can close it with alt-F4. Test page from comment #3 seems to have disappeared. Couldn't reproduce #5 (but didn't try long)... Ah yes, I have left Cambridge and don't seem to have a copy of the test case, nor can I remember how to reproduce it. However the link in #5 still produces the bug (Konqueror 3.5.8). In Konqueror 4.0.0.0.0 it instead asks you if you want to save the HTML file or view it in Kate, so you might want to mark this as fixed for KDE 4. I don't think the original bug is related to the one mentioned in c#5. The original bug is still present in 3.5.9. Basically on clicking a href="smb://..." link inside a webpage pops up a dialog warning you that this might be an insecure action. While the dialog is popped-up the wrong mouse pointer is shown. You can still click though and I don't see any strange traces being left behind. On trunk r798768 this is no longer reproducible. Created attachment 24444 [details]
