Which version of libmtp do you use? $ rpm -q libmtp libusb libmtp-0.0.21-1.fc5 libusb-0.1.11-2.2 Is libmtp used even when the player is configured as a Generic Audio Device? No, there is a separate MTP plugin. If you don't see it, it's probably not compiled into your package...you could either compile Amarok yourself or see if there's an add-on RPM that has the library. I haven't heard about other people having problems transferring with the generic media device, so if your player is really a MTP one, that seems like the likely reason. Amarok would not connect to it as an MTP device. And the files transfer fine, it's after the transfer, when manipulating the files on the device after transfer is when Aarok locks up. I am sorry but this will not get fixed in Amarok 1.4 as we are focused on Amarok 2 now. Thank you for your report. |
