Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from:    Gentoo Packages
Compiler:          gcc 3.4.6 
OS:                Linux

When I try to (directly) open a Word document received as a hotmail attachment in OpenOffice 2.0, I instead get a document containing the text shown below.  I can save Word documents to disk without any problems and open them from disk.  Firefox opens the documents correctly.

I also see this problem on a vanilla Kubuntu Edgy installation.

Cannot reproduce on konqueror 4. It is working right now :)

As the original reporter, I can no longer reproduce on Konqueror 3.5.9 (Kubuntu Hardy).  I will close this.
