Description lushano 2006-09-23 00:58:35 UTC
Version: 0.1.2 (using KDE 3.5.4, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.4-0ubuntu2~dapper1 )
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-27-386

The --nofork option was already enabled. This was the previous solution to a similar bug.

Sorry I dont get it, which is the problem?
Comment 2 lushano 2006-09-23 14:20:59 UTC
The fault is that you cannot export albums to CD thru the Digikam/kipi
feature. Previous bugs have been lodged for a similar fault. The
solution to those faults however, was to include the --nofork option. I
have already that option enabled before I have lodged this bug, but
still the fault is occurring.

Mandriva 2007 cooker with kde 3.5.4 works here.

Has anyone else this problem?

Can you post some more info? Is --nofork option really in the setup
dialog? Do you know if ubuntu packagers have patched something on k3b?

Gentoo 2006.1 testing branch ~x86

Tested with:

kde: 3.5.4
libkipi: 0.1.2 and 0.1.4
kipi-plugins: 0.1.0-rc2
digikam: 0.9.0_beta2
No patches applied by Gentoo.
--nofork option enabled.

No problem here. :)

I'm not sure but i start believing the problem is some where else...

Can you try disabling html interface? I mean only to backup on cd.

Let me know.

Maintaner Debian KDE extras team.
Version installed 0.1+rc1-ubuntu2.

--nofork enabled under media burning options.

included the snapshots showing --nofork (1) and kipi version (2)

rc1 is a bit old. And have some bugs in html interface.
Unfortunately some of them are also in the 0.1.2 (last
stable version). But i strongly recommend you to
test cd archive without using html, and if you can
ask for kipi-plugins 0.1.2 to ubuntu packagers.

Disabling HTMLinterface does allow it to work.

It should be fixed then.
but we should find the offending file(s). Take a look at
old fixed bugs such as bug #131284, bug #101656
and bug #128125 and so on.
Unfortunately yours is a very old version, so it isn't
easy to understand if it's fixed or not.

Please use a new kipi-plugins version and if you find the problem again, reopen it.
