That would be indeed nice, however the backend model of package updates does not support that for now, so i cannot implement that. The security/non-security updates probably could be done, but still not clear, easy nor distribution-portable. So this needs cooperation with package providers. Leaving unconfirmed for now, i will think about it later... Would be nice to have the systray icon change depending on whether the update is a critical one or not. Today's update was simply a change to the ubuntu docs, and perhaps shouldn't have appeared as a "Hazard" sign! I also second the wish for a "Reason for update" Sounds like bug 113858. As a former user of Mandrake I also miss this feature very much. At least a basic changelog; more details in the form of security/new version/etc would be of course welcome. Let's say this is a dupe of Bug#113858 indeed.
