Yes, going using OpenDocument for the KOffice applications that support it is planned for 1.5 already, so don't worry, and no, you don't need to do any circus to run KOffice under any X11 environment -- it just works, even with the X11 of OS X. I wish people would learn that there's nothing stopping them from running a KDE application under Gnome or a Gnome application under KDE. Any perceived difficulties are imaginary. Hello and thanks for assuring me that this will be done by 1.5, and also for the explanation of KDE/GNOME app interoperability. (The latter stems from random memories of posts on mailing lists saying that a GNOME app didn't work on KDE or vice-versa.) Now can you please tell me where I can see the roadmap for 1.5? Thank you. |
