Screen shot showing where the notification appears in Akregator 1.3.3
Unfortunately the notification in Akregator 1.3.3 (under KDE 4.1.3) is still a little odd (to me anyway). My plasma panel is at the bottom of the screen, but my notification appears at the top in the centre. I've attached a screen shot as akregator_1.3.3_notification.png. I can only get my panel onto one monitor in KDE 4.1 so I don't know if the originally reported behaviour exists too. I'm still not too bothered about this. This should be fixed now (I can't remember if it got into KDE 4.2, otherwise its in 4.3) with the notifications plasma applet (or whatever the thing is called, I can't remember precisely). Basiaclly, these kind of notifications will appear wherever your system tray plasma applet is now. I can confirm it's fixed in Akregator 1.5.1 under KDE 4.3.1. It seems to stack tidily with other notifications too. Thanks for chasing it up. |
