Likewise. I adjust the Volume and Duration, click Apply, and the configuration the .kde/share/config/kcmbellrc file continues to show proper (updated) settings every time I do this (which is EVERY time I log in!), but the desired System Bell ACTION lasts only as long as my current session. The next time I log in, the SETTINGS in the kcmbellrc file are still correct from when I set them before, but they are completely ignored. Then I must use "kcmshell bell" or Kcontrol/Bell again, and I see that all of Bell's settings have reverted back to their old, unwanted defaults. How do I tell KDE or get KDE to use *MY* values as the new defaults? Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. Kcontrol has been replaced by System Settings in Plasma. Please give the latest version of that a try, and open a new bug in "systemsettings" if you continue to have an issue. Thank you! |
