Description Iñaki Baz Castillo 2005-04-11 22:58:12 UTC
Version: desconocido (using KDE 3.4.0, Debian Package 4:3.4.0-0pre3 (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-8)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.10

If in media:/ I push with the right button on the USB pendrive icon, I can read something like "secure erase" ("borrado seguro" in Spanish). The only thing this option does is umounting the device, so why this strange caption? Why not a simple "umount" like all the devices?
Also, I think this strange caption maybe difficult to understand for the new users.

Looks like a translation issue...
The original one was "safely remove", and it's because in the case of
USB devices we're not simply unmounting, we're putting the USB device in a
state where it's really safe to unplug it.

I'm not spanish speaker, but from your report it looks like the spanish
label is ambiguous, or badly translated.

Ok, in this case, I think is better "safely remove" instead of a simple "umount". Therefore the problem is in the spanish translation. I'll tell this bug in i18n.
