www.slashdot.org offers a RSS feed which I read using akregator. In their FAQ, they say that they will ban your IP address if you request several RSS updates in the space on 30 minutes. I obviously don't want this to happen when I'm just trying to read news so it would good if akregator would support time limits on how often you can refresh a feed. Other sites don't impose these types of limits but it means I can't "fetch all feeds" because slashdot might ban my IP.

For example, by right-clicking the feed and choosing "edit" there should be an option called something like "Do not allow refreshing feed more often than 30 minutes", which you could change. For each feed, you would store when the last time it was refreshed (whether manually or during the automatic interval refreshes) and each time the feed is requested to refresh, it would ignore the request until the required amount of time has past.

Thanks.

Yeah, you're right. Somehow I managed to ignore this bug all the time. ;-)
