Description Malte S. Stretz 2004-04-24 14:14:25 UTC
Version: 3.2.1 (using KDE 3.2.2, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 20031218 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.2-r5, propolice-3.3-7)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.5-gentoo-r1

I (accidently) compiled Konqi without (ns)plugin support. Now whenever I visit a page which contains a Flash animation, I get a dialog box which asks me
| No plugin found for 'Shockwave Flash Media'.
| Do you want to download one from www.macromedia.com?

This message is misleading as I already have that plugin installed but the real problem is that no motif headers were found when KDE was compiled and such the nsplugin support wasn't compiled. It took me almost two months to find out the real reason for this problem :)

As those download URLs are only useful for nsplugins, the user should get a message which tells him that he needs Netscape Plungin support to see this page.

CVS commit by staikos:

Remove the Motif dependency permanently, thereby always having plugins in
KDE and not having to link to a huge library for no reason.
