Description Helge Deller 2003-12-14 12:19:52 UTC
Version: unknown (using KDE 3.1.94 (CVS >= 20031206), compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-99-athlon

Konqueror allows you to just paste the current clipbord content (an URL or a path)
directly somewhere in the window and Konqueror will open this location in the current
window.

The same feature would IMHO be cool for KDE's "File Open" and "File Save As" Dialog
boxes. Pasting the current path from the clipboard either into the File list window
or somewhere at the border with the MMB should change the view to show this path as
current directory and it's contents.

Moving from "kio/kfile" component to "kfile" product, helps sorting out duplicates.

Fantastically, this now works just how you want it: when you middle-click-paste a valid path into the URL/path bar, the whole dialog instantly changes to that path!

Wow!, it just took 15 years to implement it :-)
