Description Andreas Wege 2003-04-09 18:36:17 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.1)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc 3.2.2 20030322 (Gentoo Linux 1.4 3.2.2-r2)
OS: Linux

When using w3m, it shows images in the konsole. But it doesn't show the white background with transparent gifs (e.g. on slashdot.org). When scrolling down on the website, the pictures leave ugly line fragments on the screen. All works fine with xterm, so it is not a w3m bug. Another thing is, that the mouse wheel isn't working to scroll down the webpage (as it works in xterm). I don't know if i should report this as another bug or as wishlist item, so i just put it here.

I didn't know konsole had support for something like that.

Cheers,

w3m's images are a hack that relies on quite some assumptions. And most assumptions
are: running in xterm. So report it to w3m's authors if you like.
