Description kde.manifesto478 2026-08-24 12:51:36 UTC
DESCRIPTION
When the KwalletManager setting "Close when unused for" is activated then the different Wallets cannot be opened properly. When you try to open them via KwalletManager then they are open for a split second and close again. At the same time 'journalctl' shows that in the moment when the setting is activated, the line

'kwalletd6[3572]: QObject::killTimer(): Error: timer id ... is not valid for object ... (KWalletD, ), timer has not been killed'

Gets spammed multiple times per second. This keeps going on until either kwalled6 is killed or the setting is deactivated again.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Activate "Close when unused for"
2. Try to open a Wallet in KwalletManager

OBSERVED RESULT
As written as in Description

EXPECTED RESULT
The Wallets being opened normally.
