DESCRIPTION After upgrading from f43 -> f44, the desktop login sound ("desktop-login") is failing to play on auto-login. This worked fine previously. All audio and notifications work normally once logged in. I have tried changing themes, and the sound is playable from Notifications -> System Notifications. I'm unsure if this is a general issue on f44, or the result of the upgrade path. Also unsure if autologin is causing this. I have splash screen set to "none" STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have autologin enabled (maybe?) 2. Same here. I found a reddit thread about it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/1t17zc2/no_login_sound/ which had a workaround, but that shouldn't be necessary.
The sound plays on login for me on KDE Linux, which tracks git master. Manual login, splash screen set to Breeze.
Also works for me on auto-login with the splash screen set to none.

In bug 520009, I was able to reproduce this on Solus with Plasma built from git-master Cold boot - no login sound Log out and back in - sound played I've also noticed that other notification sounds don't play immediately. - Raise or lower volume on the laptop with keyboard keys The first key press produces no sound, but later ones do
a recent update appears to have sorted this for me - the last few reboots I have heard the login sound I can see that recently my system updated a load of pipewire dependencies from 1.6.5-1.fc44.x86_64 to 1.6.6-1.fc44.x86_64, which may be relevant
The pipewire 1.6.6 upgrade also seems to have solved the issue for me on F44.
