Created attachment 191811 [details] ^ video, filming Dolphin, preference submenus covering the main menus. Hi, After moving from Plasma 5.x to Plasma 6.6.4, one regression that jumped to my eyes is how the submenus of every KDE applications (eg. Dolphin, Gwenview, Dolphin) are covering their main drop down menus when this drop down appears near the edge of a display (see video example in Dolphin, even when another display and room on right is available...). Something that happens all the time when the application is maximized. It makes the selection of an option down the list difficult and painful because if an item on the top of the list in the main menu triggers a long submenus, you'll be blocked, or it will be on your way, unless being very fast. Before that, I think I remember the menu just appeared on the other side, to not cover the main menu. Reproduced on any Plasma 6.x distro, I tested: - KDE Neon User Edition - Debian-Testing KDE - Kubuntu 26.04 LTS - KDE Linux (Note: posted in plasmashell/general knowingly it's probably not the right place, but I miss technical vocabulary to know what component is responsible of this behavior, thank you for moving/redirecting the item)
This is fixed in newer versions of Qt (6.11)
Great! Thank you for the feedback (and good news).
