SUMMARY There is a redundant directory located at /etc/apt/preferences.d/preferences.d/ that duplicates the standard /etc/apt/preferences.d/ Also noted at https://discuss.kde.org/t/duplicate-preferences-d-same-file-s-two-times-why/44791/3 This directory contains duplicates of neon's preferences files: > 50-neon-ubuntu-release-upgrader > 99-neon-base-files > 99-noble-overrides > org-kde-neon-packages-mozilla-org-pin 99-noble-overrides is not a symlink here, though, if that matters. This does not appear to be causing any problems as far as I can tell.
