Description Joe Nukkens 2018-02-14 10:52:45 UTC
This component has a name that is offensive for the whole christian world (and probably other religions aswell).

There is currently no big fuss about this because the name is not surfaced anywhere on the user interface. However it still is a profanity. Having such a thing running in the background of your trusted operating system is deeply upsetting for any christian.

I'm not necessarily making a case for Christianity here, it's just that knowing this is a very upsetting thing for a christian user if he ever finds out this component is running in the background, the fact that it is not surfaced is not an excuse, it is just a betrayal of trust of your users.

Please rename the component or change it with another one not having such an offensive name.

As an exemplification of the seriousness of this issue, the moment I found out about the existence of this module I immediately switched to another DE and felt deeply concerned for having used it for a long time.

This component has been around for a decade and this was never an issue.

I know, I stated why this was never an issue. It is never surfaced. It is still betrayal of trust.
