When I transform layers, I press Return to confirm the transformation, which usually works fine. However, occasionally it will not confirm the transformation, so I go to the tool options to click "apply", and when I click the "apply" button, the program crashes.

Thanks for your report. I suspect it's the same issue as reported here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383112 -- but I haven't managed to reproduce the issue myself.
