There is no way to make sure which keyboard layout is chosen when you type password now. Reproducible: Always
The layout switcher is positioned in the bottom left corner. It should just say the name of the locale (e.g. "de"), when clicking it a dropdown list should be shown. Can you check again whether you see it?

Are you guys kidding me? Why this indicator is so tiny and in totally illogical place?? It is almost invisible on 28" monitor. Can you place it where it belongs, i.e. somewhere around login buttons

Does it show if you use Breeze global theme? If it does, please complain to Manjaro as it's a problem with their Breath theme.
