Created attachment 100262 [details] Updates configuration tab Checking for updates is configured to happen daily (see attached screenshot), but updates are only flagged about once a week. Manually checking for updates using the Update Manager does not identify any pending updates, even when they exist. However, issuing 'sudo apt-get update' in a shell causes the update manager to flag them. Update Manager then applies the updates normally when directed to do so. Maybe this is a configuration issue, but it would seem pointless to check for updates and then ignore them.
Please report to kubuntu, there's not much I can do there.
OK. Will do. However, I'd like to mention that I reported the bug here by clicking on the 'Report bug...' menu item in the Update Manager. Someone somewhere should make that point to Kubuntu, instead of KDE; presumably that someone is in the Kubuntu team.
