libmuon/backends/ApplicationBackend/ApplicationNotifier.cpp checks for updates to Kubuntu and pops up a notification but that can disappear and  leave no trace.  It would be good if the notification was in the systray slideout plasmoid too same as package updates are.
 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. put  "212.13.202.11 changelogs.ubuntu.com" into /etc/hosts
2. check it works by running muon-updater and seeing the update bar at the top
3. run apt update, see notification of Kubuntu update but nothing in systray plasmoid

Muon is no longer maintained, please switch no a supported alternative like https://apps.kde.org/discover/ or the package manager native no your system.
