Description Marco Parillo 2015-02-24 18:58:49 UTC
Running Kubuntu Vivid Beta 1, RC 1 (download link in URL above).
Started wrong machine, and tried to immediately power off, and it did not work.
I had to login to the machine, and shut down.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Either (A) Cold boot on physical machine; or (B)Start VMware VM
2. See sddm login panel
3. Select power down icon

Actual Results:
Countdown goes to zero, then negative

Expected Results:
Countdown should go to zero, then power down.

I can reproduce this bug in any KDE 5 (Plasma 5.2.x and 5.3.x) release so far, using SDDM 0.11.0.
Platform: Slackware-current.

https://github.com/sddm/sddm/issues/458

we're making the right calls to SDDM from the Plasma side, lets track this on the SDDM server on the report above

I imagine it's a lack of a suitable backend being installed (or existing on the SDDM side)
