It would be great to have a "Show target folder" option for symlinks in the context menu, which would jump to the folder containing the target of the selected symlink. Reproducible: Always
Thanks for the report. Could you please point out why you can't just "jump" to the folder by clicking it, or pressing Enter when it's selected?
If the target of the symlink is a file, then clicking it or pressing enter just opens the file. I found no easy way to open the folder that is the original location of the file.
OK, I see. If you have a symlink that points to /some/folder/a.txt, then you want to be able to open /some/folder easily. Please note that most of the content of the context menu is not a part of Dolphin at all, but provided by external applications or so-called "Service Menus". Everyone can create such service menus and publish them, e.g., at http://kde-apps.org/ . Maybe a menu for your use case exists already. I'll close as UPSTREAM because this functionality has to be provided by a service menu, not by Dolphin itself.
