Description bluelupo 2013-05-07 18:48:30 UTC
Hi,
Have compiled the following scenario to reproduce it at any time:

Two users are logged on parallel KDE desktop. From the Start menu, I select the menu item "Switch User". Now the appear from the top of the screen the dialog box "desktop sessions" with the second user logged.

user1: default (1, vt8)
new Session

I now choose "user1" and you will see a screen (probably from kdm) with a display of the logged in user.

user1: default (1, vt8)
user2: kde-plasma (0, vt7)

Now I lead a double click on "user2" and unfortunately nothing happens. The same negative result I have when I push the button "Activate". Only when I press the "Cancel" button, I return to the lock screen and from there I can then switch to "user2" (after entering the password).

So you just change the lockscreen from the user, but not from the dialogue from KDM out.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
reproduced at any time
Actual Results:
Users exchange possible only with difficulty

Expected Results:

KDM is unmaintained and not used in KDE Plasma 5.

SDDM is the login manager used in KDE Plasma 5. If you still have this same issue with SDDM, please file an issue on the SDDM bugtracker (after doing a search for existing issues first!): https://github.com/sddm/sddm/issues/
