Like in summary. 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a torrent
2. Ktorrent will freeze for while

KDE 4.10.2
Gentoo ~amd64

Do you have any torrent with a large amount of files ?

I wiped out ktorrent configuration and data. Ktorrent works fine by now.

Not resolved at all, it hangs with many browser out there...

1.- With any browser (not Rekonq/Konqueror) you may open a magnet link (in firefox you may need to set it to open magent links)
2.- Choose Ktorrent (if you must choose a program of bittorrent)
3.- Enjoy the Hang. 

Happens Always, randomly crashes plasma-desktop when I try to open a menu (I use plasma-widget-menubar), tested with Firefox 31.0, Chromium 34.0.1847.116 Ubuntu 14.04 aura (260972), Midori 0.5.8.

Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit. 

But does not hang when I open the magnet link in Rekonq or Konqueror. 

Please consider that not everybody uses your browsers.

removed all torrents but 1, which has multiple files (~60) , ktorrent freezes

downloads files to a different harddrive than operating system is installed on
