The clock widget does not close automatically when losing focus. It is the only widget I have currently installed that does not follow this behavior. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click on clock 2. Click another program 3. Actual Results: Calander stays open Expected Results: Calender closes
I'm not sure whether that's a feature or not, but I have been enjoying the possibility to use the calendar while writing notes to kwrite meanwhile. Though for the sake of consistency I agree that the popup should close.
Maybe there can be a switch for that behaviour? I don't know if you know the yakuake terminal which slides from the top of the screen. It has a lock you can click on to the the terminal window stay open when it loses the focus. If that is not ticked it closes when it loses the focus. That would be a perfect behaviour for the calendar. The default behaviour could be to collapse when losing the focus but everybody who wants the calendar popup to stay could activate the lock.
I would just prefer that a standard behavior be chosen for plasmoids to remain open or not. Some close after losing focus, while others stay open. It's annoying to have to guess what a newly installed plasmoid will do.
Hello! This bug report was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this bug is already resolved in Plasma 5. Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this bug report. If the issue described here is still present in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging Thanks for your understanding!
