Error occurs, when trying to install deb files from localized system folders. Example: Downloads folder / localized hungarian name: Letöltések This error occurs both with QApt and Gdebi-KDE. When using QApt, no error message, the install window only displays this: "Done", but the app isn't installed. See the attached picture. When using Gdebi-KDE, error occurs: cannot open package, package appears to be broken. When moving the deb file to /home, installing the package went fine. System: Kubuntu 11.10 x64 KDE 4.8.1
Muon Suite version 1.3.0
have the same problem, with downloads folder named in hebrew (הורדות) muon/qapt 1.4 on kubuntu 12.10 amd64
I confirm this with french language (Downloads = Téléchargements) and Kubuntu 12.04.1
Yes I confirm.. mkdir Letöltések put a .deb into that directory run qapt-deb-installer Letöltések/analitza-common_14.12.0-0ubuntu1_all.deb click Install it will say "done" but the package will not install
I used version 2.2.0-0ubuntu2
Works for me with version 3.0.2, and should work in 2.2 too. The fix is commit 1dd424c10dadf546b3c8d4479ed6c03ee1e78969 https://quickgit.kde.org/?p=libqapt.git&a=commit&h=1dd424c10dadf546b3c8d4479ed6c03ee1e78969
Muon is no longer maintained, please switch no a supported alternative like https://apps.kde.org/discover/ or the package manager native no your system. Sorry for the inconvenience.
