Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.3) OS: Linux On the login page, click Menu->Shutdown. The corners aren't rounded. This window could be beautified a bit if time permits. Reproducible: Always
If you are talking about black corners in the shutdown dialog then you must make sure compositing is working in kwin to fix that: $ qdbus org.kde.kwin /KWin compositingActive true
I don't know why I created such a bad bug report. I actually meant the shutdown menu you get when you try to shutdown from KDM. See the screenshot.

Or that screenshot is from a very old KDE version or Chakra does not use the shutdown dialog from kde-workspace. Anyway, the plasma theme is the one that defines if the dialog will have rounted borders or not. In 4.8.x and 4.9.x the borders are rounded by default in the default theme.
It looks like this is the shutdown window of KDM ...
Hmmm is this dialog still used? I am not able to trigger any dialog similar to that one when I use menu -> Leave -> Shutdown
Lamarque, see kde-workspace/kdm/kfrontend/kdmshutdown.cpp Before you replace that one, please ask kdm maintainers for allowed dependencies ;)
I changed the KDM theme to Horos (which I believe is the default upstream KDM theme) and also set the desktop theme to the upstream default (Air). I changed both themes from KDM. Attached is the screenshot. This problem does not exist when you are already logged in and you use Kicker to shutdown. *You need to go to the KDM login screen*

In case you are interested, I found this dialog that appears during shutdown when you have multiple active sessions (x sessions I think).

(In reply to comment #7) > Lamarque, see kde-workspace/kdm/kfrontend/kdmshutdown.cpp > > Before you replace that one, please ask kdm maintainers for allowed > dependencies ;) With the current efforts to replace kdm for light-dm I really doubt I will do anything about this bug :-P This is just a detail.
KDM is unmaintained and not used in KDE Plasma 5. SDDM is the login manager used in KDE Plasma 5. If you still have this same issue with SDDM, please file an issue on the SDDM bugtracker (after doing a search for existing issues first!): https://github.com/sddm/sddm/issues/
