(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: khtml Version: KDE 2.1.1 Severity: normal Installed from: Compiled From Sources Compiler: Glibc gcc 2.95.3 OS: Linux OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified When rendering frames the row/column sizes are set from left to right however in some instances this causes problems. For example in most other browsers if the frameset was set to 50% 700 50% the 700 would take precidence and the two 50% would take up half the remaining width each so that the main part of the page would be 700 pixels wide in the middle. Konqueror (or rather khtml) makes the first column half the width of the page which makes it all look rather pants! *8-). I've tested a page like this in IE5.5 NS4.77 and Opera and they all work as expected. Thanks. Darren. (Submitted via bugs.kde.org)

I've put an example of what I mean on my website at www.flapper.demon.co.uk/test.html Renders fine in NS and opera. Is this a case of khtml following standards and the rest of the world ignoring them? Thanks. > > Dirk
This seems to be a good example of one of the (increasingly rare good job guys) sites that konqueror mangles horribly: http://arstechnica.com/cpu/ The problem is visually rather obvious and probably best seen by just using the "open with netscape" button to see them side by side. The main frame on this site ends up being very squished in konqueror apparently because konqueror prioritizes the frames differently than everybody else. Not knowing html I can't reall ygive any better information. Tested with CVS as of yesterday or so. Linus

Anti-aliased fonts won me over and I've been really happy with it. > fixed update to CVS. Thanks compiling right now. Linus

Linus says it's done so I guess it's done! ;) -- George Staikos
