Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.5) OS: Linux A USB drive was plugged to my PC with Kubuntu. After my work finished i unmounted the usb drive or safely removed it. After that i tried to open dolphin but dolphin didn't open. It just stayed to the taskbar as if it was trying to get it opened but failed. I could not open dolphin for 20 to 30 seconds. After 30 seconds i was able to open dolphin normally. This has happened also when unmounting cdrom. after unmounting cdrom i couldn't open dolphin for a while. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: unmount cdrom or usb drive and then close any dolphin window if any. Then try to open dolphin. Actual Results: I cannnot open dolphin for few seconds as if it hanged. Expected Results: dolphin should open any time we want no matter what happens with removable disks.
Can't reproduce it. Is it still a problem for the reporter in KDE SC 4.8.4 or higher versions?
@CMOS43, can you try again with a newer version of Dolphin? Chances are high that this bug is fixed.
No response -> closing. Thanks for reporting this bug, please reopen the report if you can still reproduce this behavior with newer versions of Dolphin.
