Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.1) OS: Linux Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Log in with a screen resolution of 1366x768 and the default KDM and KSplash settings ("Ethias" and "Standard"). Actual Results: The background image changes when switching from KDM to KSplash. Expected Results: The image should stay the same without any hopping or flickering. There is no 1366x768 version of the background image in /usr/share/kde4/apps/ksplash/Themes/Default/ but there is one in /usr/share/kde4/apps/kdm/themes/ethais/wallpapers/
This is still the case with KDE 4.6.2: ls /usr/share/kde4/apps/ksplash/Themes/Default/ gives only these folders: 1024x768 1280x1024 1600x1200 1920x1080 1920x1200 600x400 800x600
Is it okay for me to just take the image from 1920x1080 (which has the same aspect ratio), scale it to 1366x768, and commit that? This would affect git:kde-workspace/ksplash/ksplashx/themes/horos and svn:/trunk/KDE/kde-base-artwork/ksplashx-themes/default That's what I did locally to fix the difference (in the background image) between KDM and KSplash, and it worked nicely.
