Indeed, the middle click works. This is quite counterintuitive, as there is no indication that one should use it instead of the left click. And this behavior has changed just recently. Is this really intentional?

Same issue here.
Same issue here (Version 4.5 Beta2). Additionally if using system settings to change kdmrc parameters, the Unable to install new kdmrc file from /tmp/kde-root/kcmshellnS9587.tmp error appears.

this works with current kde trunk and qt 4.7, while i was able to reproduce the issue before, so i assume it somehow got fixed.
