Description Joey 2010-03-12 01:10:11 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: openSUSE RPMs

I noticed in 4.3, the window that was used to add widgets to the plasma desktop was the same to close them (even if you couldn't see it). I run dual monitors with an nvidia card and "twinview". Sometimes when I make changes (not very often) to the plasma desktop, widgets will disappear. When re-adding them, the window/menu says the widget is still open. I can't see it, so I can't close it. Right-click integration would be very useful in this situation. If "System Settings>Desktop>Multiple Desktop>*Different activity for each desktop*" is checked, then a right-click menu with options such as 'move widget to $this desktop$' and 'close widget' etc..
I run OpenSuSE 11.2 with KDE 4.4.1 on older hardware so having open widgets and duplicate widgets eats memory and CPU usage to a noticeable lag. Making it so I can close widgets, no matter the desktop nor whether or not I can actually see them, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)
