Description Ulrich Moser 2010-02-26 17:30:30 UTC
Version: 1.0.2 3.5.10 (karmic) (using KDE 4.4.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I just installed KMyMoney and loaded the account statements of my EUR and CHF accounts which worked acceptably because I had to use QIF import with CSV filtering. After that I tried to enter cash expenses that occured in the past for example on Feb, 18th. Whenever I tried to enter a booking date earlier than today the Enter-Button (Eingabe in the German version) was greyed out. Is there any reason why you can not book into the past? Usually I do my bookings once a week but I want them to occur on the correct date.

Make sure that the account opening date is prior to the date of the transaction you want to enter. You will also get this explanation on the tool tip of the 'Enter' button.

Check the opening date of the account.
Edit the account, change the opening date to the actual opening date (not today), accept the change and you are ready to enter transactions in the past.
