Version: 3.4.0 (using 4.4.00 (KDE 4.4.0) "release 222", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.0) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.25.20-0.6-default Hi! The recently opened documents list is not saved automatically, so every time I start kate the menu contains the documents I opened many years ago when I saved the default session. The recent doc list is saved only when the session is saved to. I think it should be saved automatically on exit. I have a wish too: it would be great if the saved documents would be put in the recent list too, not only the opened ones. I always have to search for files I saved from kate, because I can't remember the place and name I saved them to. I use kate in a daily basis for work for many years (to write technical docs in markup). It's a very good program. Thanks in advance, Balázs
The recend documents list is stored with the session, so if you let kate create a new session on startup or not save it upon shutdown the document list won't be saved. There's a separate report for changing that, hence closing as dupe. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 182759 ***
