Description Alexander 2010-02-17 14:33:32 UTC
Version: 2.3-git (using KDE 4.4.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Archlinux Packages

He must suspend a slide-show too. Or you can make it customizable — add an option into the configuration dialog (pausing slide-show or stoping it or ignoring paused playback), for example.

P.S. Sorry for my english, I hope, you can understand, what I talking about here :)

The pause button doesn't affect that applet AFAIK, moving to wishlist.

What slide-show that is?

Try it out, you will see :) Please do not ask support questions in bug reports.

This is not a support question. I'm trying to participate in a discussion to improve the Photos Applet in a related wish request and to make the wish clearer for many people who may not have been able to get the complete idea. Feel free to ignore the question but really, I don't think it is irrelevant to the purpose of this tracker.

I don't think it matters to know whether it is fading or automatic, you can't stop either of them.
The Interactive one is stoppable anyway: point the mouse cursor on the image to halt it in the middle, then drag the mouse up or down out of the applet filed stops the animation.

I think that this is a Photos applet bug, because it doesn't stop the slide-show when I put the playback on pause. Not a wish.

For those, who wants only watch images at a time when playback is paused, you can add "play" and "stop" buttons on the Photos applet, and this would be like a wish.
Comment 7 Myriam Schweingruber 2010-08-26 12:00:38 UTC
Wrong, the default behavior is a slide-show, it is not supposed to stop when you pause a track, hence a wish.
Comment 8 Alexander 2010-08-28 13:11:19 UTC
Why then applet stops slide-show in case if I'll stop playback through the system tray context menu? Because it is logical. Following this same logic it would be reasonable to pause the slide-show when playback is paused (not fully stop, but just suspend it). And, how I described above, you can add the "play/pause" button to the applet (also you can add "previous" and "next" buttons too).

So, supposition you described is wrong, hence this is a bug.
