Version: (using KDE 4.3.4) Installed from: openSUSE RPMs THe detail tree view of a directory changed the name of a directory to "." (indicating the current directory), however the name didn't change. I tried to force this to happen again but failed. Will attach screenshots later.

Thanks for the report, this is a very strange issue, which has not been reported yet (at least as far as I can remember...). Is the issue reproducible in your environment? Does switching from the detail view to the icon view help?
It's related to the "Open terminal here..." feature and is reproduceable independent of view mode. To reproduce: 1) Open a directory containing subdirectorys using Dolphin 2) Right click a folder, select Actions -> Open Terminal Here A terminal window opens, and the name of the selected directory is displayed as "." Most likely this is supposed to be a feature, but IMO it is just confusing.
I cannot reproduce this issue with Dolphin 17.12.3. Please reopen this bug if you still experience this problem.
