Version: (using KDE 4.2.4) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages It'd be cool to have a "more" or "history" button at the bottom of the application. Let me explain it. I am following some folks and "attend" to some groups and in result when I'm back home from work I get about 50-60 dents. Sometimes less and sometimes more. Currently I can set amount of visible dents e.g. 50 (as I have). OK. But what will become when I get 100 dents? Choqok will display only a half of them. So bad. :( So idea is to add a "more/history" button that enables me to have a look at "historic" dents (mentioned 50 dents). Anyway I'm lacking it but of course it doesn't have to be just a "more/history" button. It also could be some kind of pagination? Or left/right arrow? Hm. So what you're thinking about it? cheers, Wojtek :)
Yes I'd love the ability to load the next few messages in my timeline like the twitter.com webpage does. It even could do that dynamically when one is scrolling to the very end of the shown rage of the timeline, like soup.io does on the web page
I propose another solution to the mentioned problem: ignore the visible tweets amount when more tweets are unread. For example, I have 60 unread tweets, and the limit is 50. The Choqok should show 60 tweets, until I mark them read.
Hi Edward! That's a VERY good idea. In fact I thought that would already be the case, but I can't remember when I got so many new tweets... I guess you are right and in that case that's very needed. But I think this should be independant of this wish here. Because even if we would have your idea, I perhaps want to search for some older tweet I already read (perhaps yesterday) and want to scroll down to it. So I think these two wishes are both great ideas.
Hi Daniel, hi Wojtek! I've just checked out latest SVN version of Choqok, and found out that my idea of handling new tweets is in fact already implemented. Apparently it does not appear in any of already released versions (except 1.0 alpha), so we should wait patiently for the 1.0 release. Cheers
Hi all, just want to keep this active. Even while Choqok now keeps all unread tweets in the window, I sometimes have the urge to scroll down my timeline of already read tweets. I would very much love to see a "dynamically load next tweets" function or a "more button" at the end of the main timeline. As a intermediate solution I can imagine to have the pagination function that is already implemented for e.g. search tabs. Tho this function is not very convenient, after all it does not jump to top when changing page, letting me scroll up and down again after every page flip, and I need to change pages back to the beginning instead of just scrolling upwards. But in the end it would be better than nothing. Thanks!
Daniel, I agree. There are times I need to look up in replies to me or my old favourites. Now it's not possible. As you said, some kind of pagination would solve the problem.

Here's another reason to get this feature in ASAP (I guess 1.3 is soon enough): Anyone whose Twitter timeline gets more than 200 tweets in a day, but only checks Choqok once a day or less (like me), can't use Choqok to view EVERYthing they missed. See bug 280812 for more details.
