I open a link to a news feed in a new tab and then click a link on that page.  The favicon does not update to the new site, it stays as the original site.

I can confirm this problem on Kubuntu Jaunty with KDE 4.3.2 running. 
It happened on this: http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/Greenpeace-IBM-und-Microsoft-sollten-Apple-folgen-820033.html page, then I clicked on 
http://www.greenpeace.org/usa/news/bravo-apple
The problem may have something to do with a site taking long to present their favicon. I test the greenpeace-site also on Konqueror and Firefox. In both cases it took very long until it appeared. It Akregator it did not appear at all. May be the time set for waiting for the faviocn is too short?

I can't reproduce this anymore (due to recent commits in akregator). Please retry when KDE 4.6 is out.
