The configuration dialog doesn't follow the HIG of the KDE version we target (i.e., 4.x).

I'm currently working on this.

If the redesign could include fitting the dialog into a vertical space of 576 pixels, that'd be great for netbooks. Currently the dialog is too big. (I'm assuming this is the bug report that best describes the config dialog redesign for 1.3)

Yup, size reduction is definitely one of the design goals.

This problem seems to have been carried over to KDE Plasma 5. I'm having the exact same problem as bug 246983, but now on a full-sized laptop!
