Description Martin Walch 2009-04-12 17:22:50 UTC
Version: 4.2.2 (using KDE 4.2.2)
Compiler: gcc (Gentoo 4.3.3-r2 p1.1, pie-10.1.5) 4.3.3 CFLAGS="-march=native -O2 -fgcse-after-reload -pipe" (= CXXFLAGS)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Konqueror 4.2.2 fails the second acid test. The nose of the smiley is not black, but red. It is twice as big and is rotated by 45°.

Looks fine to me.
Comment 3 Martin Walch 2009-04-12 19:51:52 UTC
I made some more tests. Indeed, when running a new first instance of Konqueror and starting the test immediately, everything is fine.

Now steps to reproduce
1. start Konqueror
2. make the acid3 test by typing http://acid3.acidtests.org/ into the address line
3. wait until 87/100 points are reached (great job btw)
4. in the same window/tab now navigate to http://acid2.acidtests.org/
5. click on "Take The Acid2 Test"

now the nose is red

(6. now take again the Acid3 test. It will not even start)
Comment 4 Stefan Majewsky 2009-06-15 23:11:03 UTC
I can fully confirm Martin's observations. I'm using an unpatched 4.2.91 (r979380) from openSUSE RPMs.

Seems to get worse over time.
Comment 6 Richard Hartmann 2010-04-05 04:30:49 UTC
Another confirmation from me. I never submitted anything because I thought I was doing something wrong/never made the mental connection.

Fwiw, this links to here: http://kamikazow.wordpress.com/2010/04/05/konqueror-doesnt-pass-acid2-occasionally/
Comment 7 Maksim Orlovich 2010-04-05 19:14:53 UTC
I can confirm the nose regression, but nothing else.
Comment 8 Maksim Orlovich 2010-04-06 19:35:36 UTC
... And now I went to grab a copy to make a testcase, and it works fine.

With khtml, the page never finishes loading. Wireshark reveals that Konqueror requests the path "/404/" and receives a "404 Not Found".
Comment 11 Gérard Talbot (no longer involved) 2011-06-10 14:32:31 UTC
Hello,

I confirm what A. Nordal says: the page
http://acid2.acidtests.org/
never finish loading. The K throbber on the rightmost part of the URL bar is continuously turning; the white x inside the red stop sign icon is active and not dimmed. The load event never gets fired. Status bar text may help here:

"4 images loaded out of 5" is indicated on the left part of the status bar.

The right part of the status bar (with the progress bar) indicates 85%.

Konqueror version: 4.6.4
KDE platform version: 4.6.4
Qt: 4.7.2
Linux 2.6.38-10-generic-pae i686
Kubuntu 11.04 here.

...

and I consistently crash when trying to load acid3:
http://acid3.acidtests.org/
I will report this separately.

regards, Gérard
